Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik is established in June 1998 for the purposes of ensuring proper and systematic instruction, teaching, training and research in modern medicine and Indian Systems of Medicine in Maharashtra. MUHS has already granted affiliation to 351 colleges in the state of Maharashtra. These include mainly Allopathic, Ayurvedic, Homeopathic, Nursing, etc. colleges.
RBPL is recognized by The Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik for conducting PhD programs for interested students fulfilling the eligibility criteria set forth by the University. Students can opt to conduct their Research in the following fields :
1. Rasashastra (Synthesis / Process Development / Characterization)
2. Interdisciplinary Subject (All above and or/in vitro, in vivo and Clinical Study)It is to be noted that the projects assigned to students would be based on the societal needs and therefore the positive results can be directly translated & implemented for the needy population / industry.
RBPL is the only set-up in private sector under the faculty of Ayurveda recognized for PhD Program. The highly acclaimed advisors / guides with robust presence in research arena having several research papers to their credit and experience of guiding several PhD students in an industry set-up is an added advantage.
DEPARTMENT OF BIOTECHNOLOGY (DBT), BIOTECH CONSORTIUM INDIA LIMITED (BCIL), BIOTECHNOLOGY INDUSTRIAL TRAINING PROGRAM (BITP)
Biotech Consortium India Limited (BCIL), New Delhi was incorporated as public limited company in 1990 under The Companies Act, 1956. The consortium is promoted by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India and financed by the All India Financial Institutions and some corporate sectors. BCIL’s major functions include the development and transfer of technology for the commercialisation of biotechnology products, project consultancy, biosafety awareness and human resource development. BCIL has been successfully managing several Flagship schemes and Programmes of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India. Most notable include :
1. Biotechnology Industry Partnership Programme
2. Biotechnology Industrial Training Programme
3. Small Business Innovation Research Initiative
RBPL participates in a scheme organized by DBT, BCIL and BITP which involves training M.Sc./M.Tech./B.E./B.Tech Biotechnology students by assigning industrial projects for the duration of six months. This platform is to enhance their skills and hands on experience in the industrial environment in desired area of Biotechnology to pursue dream career with support from Government of India.
Incidentally, key projects at our company have support of the Department of Biotechnology through BIPP programme.
