Department of Scientific & Industrial Research
DSIR is a part of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. DSIR has a mandate to carry out the activities relating to indigenous technology promotion, development, utilization and transfer.
The primary endeavour of DSIR is to promote R&D by the industries, support a larger cross section of small and medium industrial units to develop state-of-the art globally competitive technologies of high commercial potential, catalyze faster commercialization of lab-scale R&D, enhance the share of technology intensive exports in overall exports, strengthen industrial consultancy & technology management capabilities and establish user friendly information network to facilitate scientific and industrial research in the country.
It also provides a link between scientific laboratories and industrial establishments for transfer of technologies.
Recognition from DSIR
Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik
The University was established on 3 June 1998 by the state Government of Maharashtra through an ordinance. All colleges and institutions imparting education in health science in the state of Maharashtra have been affiliated to this new university under Section 6(3) of the Act. The university was established to ensure proper and systematic instruction, teaching, training and research in modern medicine and Indian systems of medicine in the State of Maharashtra.
RBPL’s exceptional work in translational sciences and its effort to bridge traditional science with modern science has been possible because of its facility and experienced people. The focus area of research is always derived from “patient centric” approach which enables providing ideal Health to the needy people. MUHS and RBPL’s work is synergistic and a lot can be achieved if young minds are ignited to find India specific solutions instead of focussing on areas which are affected to the western population. Acknowledging RBPL’s efforts in the “Patient Centric” research, MUHS acceded recognition to RBPL as a PhD course centre wherein interested students could pursue their quest of research with the help of experienced guides and available infrastructure.

Green Chemistree Foundation, Mumbai
Green ChemisTree Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, registered under Section 25 (now Section 8 of Companies Act); with the vision to expand awareness of, and the technical know-how on “Green Chemistry and Green Engineering (GC&E)” based applications, advantages, success-stories, tools and technologies; and thereby encourage chemical community stakeholders – both Industry & non-Industry groups towards GC&E implementation.
The Foundation, through its various national and international deliberations facilitates the world-wide chemical community to explore, engage, exchange and expand their GC&E paradigms.
