Dr. Mario Romero is Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Juniper Biomedical, Worcester, Massachusetts, United States. He received his doctorate in Neuroscience from Tulane
University and postdoctoral training from UTSW as Associate Member of the Christopher Reeve
Paralysis Foundation Research Consortium on Spinal Cord Injury.

- Dr. Romero-Ortega is Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department at the University of Arizona. He is co-founder of Pioneer Neurotech Inc. USA, RBI Medical, USA.
- His work has been presented in more than 190 publications and focuses on the understanding of the molecular mechanisms involved in axon guidance and target recognition and clinical neuromodulation of the peripheral nervous system.
